Fixed Price Installation Quote
Installing a wood burner is a significant step in creating a warm and inviting home. The process can sometimes seem daunting with time off needed for quote assessments and council paperwork to fill out etc.
For our Christchurch based customers, we aim to make the whole process as easy as possible.
Our simple fixed price installation quote lets you know the basic costs of an installation without the need for a site visit just for the purpose of quoting a price.
Most costs associated with the installation of the burner such as council consent, basic labor charge, consumables etc. are all fixed costs which can be calculated without the inconvenience of a site visit.
In just a few minutes and by answering a few simple questions we can provide you with an accurate price for installing a Woodsman wood burner into your home.
Your quote will exclude the cost of smoke detectors as required by regulation if needed as well as any offsets, tray flashings, wall shielding or scaffolding required to install the fire in your preferred location.
We can then arrange one of our retail partners to contact you to provide a quote for you for the best Woodsman burner to suit your home.
Once you have your fire and installation quotes and you wish to proceed, simply pay your deposit for the Installation and we will book you in for your pre-installation site check. During this time our NZHHA accredited installers will ensure your chosen burner is correct for the home and the space you wish to have it installed. They will also draw up the floor plan for the council permit and advise how many smoke detectors are needed and whether an offset is required for your chosen position or if an alternative position would eliminate the need for one.

Who better to install your new Woodsman wood burner than the people who make them.

During our pre-installation site visit they'll ensure that the selected burner will operate efficiently in the chosen location.
What happens once I accept the Installation Quote
Once you are ready to proceed with the installation of your chosen Woodsman wood burner simply pay the deposit as per the quote form and we will be in touch to arrange a pre-installation site visit and we will book in your installation date.
During the pre-installation site visit, our installation team carries out a series of site checks.
This includes a thorough check of the proposed installation space to ensure it meets safety clearances and hearth requirements. The installation team ensures that the chosen burner can be installed in the selected location, with enough space for the fire to operate at optimal performance. The installation is verified to meet the client’s heating requirements, and a detailed site plan is created, including smoke detector placements as required by the latest New Zealand safety standards. This site plan is submitted as part of the council consent and ensures the installation is approved without issues.
Once the site visit has been carried out we will advise any additional costs. Usually this is just the cost of the wireless interconnecting smoke detectors now required under the building code. If needed we can supply these or you can source them yourself. There may be in some instances, an offset, tray flashing or wall shielding required as part of the installation which we will advise you of together with the associated cost. Once any additional costs are accepted we will process the council consent paperwork and confirm your installation date with you.
In the unlikely event that the wood burner installation cannot proceed your deposit will be refunded in full.
